RESTORATIVE
Restorative yoga is a gentle, calming style of yoga that focuses on relaxation and stress relief. It involves holding passive poses for extended periods, often supported by props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks, to encourage deep relaxation and allow the body to fully release tension. The practice aims to activate the body's parasympathetic nervous system, promoting healing and restoring balance. Restorative yoga is ideal for those seeking to unwind, recover from physical exertion, or reduce stress, making it a great option for all levels of practitioners.
YIN
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on holding deep, passive stretches for extended periods, typically 3 to 5 minutes or longer. The practice targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, rather than the muscles, helping to increase flexibility and joint mobility. Yin yoga encourages a meditative approach, allowing practitioners to relax deeply and cultivate mindfulness. It is particularly beneficial for releasing stored tension, improving circulation, and promoting overall relaxation, making it a perfect complement to more active forms of exercise.
ONE on ONE
Private trauma-informed yoga sessions are personalized yoga practices designed to support emotional healing, mental wellness, and nervous system regulation. These sessions are done one-on-one with a trained instructor who understands how trauma and stress affect the body and mind tailored to your personal needs. These sessions are for those wanting to add to talk therapy or address their mental health issues through body work to regulate emotions and be able to sit in silence and feel safe and calm. Sessions are one hour and are not covered by insurance.

“In order to change, people need to become aware of their sensations and the way that their bodies interact with the world around them. Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past.”
— Bessel Van Der Kolk
